If you went to Beltane in SC last weekend...

Hey everyone! Thank you for coming out and making it such a special event. It was truly epic indeed.

I'm putting a call out to anyone who feels the urge, to come up to the location this Sunday and help us pick up trash and recycling.

Maybe it was the 2 day nature of the event, or everyone was having such a good time they didn't pay attention to where they discarded their debris... either way, the place is, so to speak, trashed.

It took a community to make it that way, and it should take a community to clean it up. The land owner was gracious enough to let us frolik on his beautiful property for 2 days, so let us do him the favor of leaving it how we found it...who's in?

We realize that it's mothers day, but what better way to spend the day - beautifying the mother of us all. Sure to be a beautiful afternoon, hangin out with the crew and possibly some BBQ action;) BYOM? We always make this stuff fun!

  • golly.
    what went wrong with us?
this is exactly the opposite of what I would have liked to have seen.

It was an awesome party and almost everyone had some disposable item in their hand.
the trash/recycling bins over flowed..... I remember stumbling around in the dark completely stumbly bumbly
looking for a container... I'd eventually find it over flowing with garbage love. I felt good at the time
that it seemed all to be in one place but to think that the whole property is littered... that hurts.
I saw hundreds of new kids and they looked to be in a similar stumbly bumbly state and they may not have
    understood the ethic.
Maybe a sometime statement from the sound system would have helped......

anyway, here we are. I pulled out on sunday noon time and I didn't register much trash with my eyes but I
wasn't looking ... although I usually see it if its there. My mind was on just getting a ride home. Score!

Sunday is not good for me but I'll try to hop a ride up on Monday noon.
I love 13moontribe/Raindance/Beltane very very very much.
    • Hi all, It's wonderful that everybody is ready and willing to rally but you might want to check with the property owner before going up there. I was speaking with him last night and he says that it would take about six (wo)man-hours to clean the place up and he really doesn't want more people than necessary at his house. I think he is really into peace and quiet at the moment. Just trying to respect his wishes.
Thanks for rangling the cleanup mission, Alia!
